The Canal du Midi flows through the villages of Poilhes and Capestang, and not far from Cruzy and Quarante. Walk or cycle along the towpath or go by boat to discover Riquet and Vauban's masterpieces: aqueduct, overflow systems...

The tourist office and the harbour office share the same premises and are located in the port of Capestang, between the two bridges. A port agent will provide you with all necessary information to make your stay enjoyable.

Within walking distance from the port, the historical center of Capestang offers a variety of shops and entertainements. Bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, grocery shops, local handicraft, bike rentals, post office, taxis, gas station not to mention the mediterranean market on wednesdays and sundays.

Everyday, a bus service connects the city center of Capestang to the surrounding villages of MontouliersCruzyQuarante, Poilhes, as well as the bus/train stations of Béziers. See the bus timetable here .

Cruise companies offer guided tours on the canal from Colombiers, Béziers and Le Somail. Feel free to ask our holiday advisors to make a reservation !
