Wine growers

With its incredibly diverse soil and patchwork of grape varieties, this region is the “vineyard destination” par excellence , and home to three great appellations – Saint Chinian AOC, Minervois AOC and Languedoc AOC – as well as numerous local wines.

To uncover its secrets, head to the wine growers’ cellars, take part in vineyard walks  or tasting workshops, or meet our wine growers for “un verre au bord de l’eau” (“a drink on the waterfront”), an event that takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from June to September on the port of Capestang, in the unique setting of the Canal du Midi.

Have a quick look at our wine tourism map . Just one glance at it will show you all the wine growers’ estates and cellars to be explored in our villages, not to mention the numerous wine tourism activities on offer.
