Pays D’Oc PGI

Originating from the south of France and born under the sun of Languedoc Roussillon, the Pays d’Oc PGI wines are produced across four départements (or regions) bordering the Mediterranean: Pyrénées-Orientales, Aude, Hérault and Gard. The appellation covers around 88,000 hectares, enabling the production of over 5.5 million hectolitres of wine every year.

The Pays d’Oc PGI wines have showcased their Protected Geographical Indication since 1987 thanks to adaptations that have improved the quality of their production tools and the vineyards.

Geology

Set against the sheer cliffs of the Pyrénées, undulating hills, vineyards, garrigue scrubland and the Mediterranean, the Pays d’Oc landscape is full of dramatic contrasts.

Bathed in a Mediterranean climate, the vines flourish on this arid, windswept land.
